Paul joined the company as a trainee in 1973 and qualified as a Chartered Building Surveyor in 1979.  He is Fellow of both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and Association of Building Engineers with broad experience in the design and condition appraisal of residential, commercial and industrial property.

As Director responsible for Building Surveying he carries out Consultancy work for a wide range of Private and Public Sector clients.

His specialities are Condition Surveys, RICS Home Buyer Reports, Dilapidations, Building Forensics, and he is often called upon to act as an Expert Witness in the County and High Courts.

He has recently become accredited as a commercial energy assessor by RICS to undertake Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) to Level 4.

Paul began his career with Morris Dean as a trainee in 1979 and qualified as a Chartered Valuation Surveyor in 1992.  He became a Partner in 2000 and took over executive responsibility for the Valuation Department in 2003.

The Department has seen considerable growth over the last ten years and provides an extensive range of valuations and reports on commercial, industrial and residential properties for  institutional, professional and private clients.

Paul is supported by our Associate, Robert Currie MRICS, an experienced Chartered Surveyor who previously held high profile positions with Manchester City Council and Scottish Development Agency.
